Lebanese actress

Pamela El Kik (Arabic: باميلا الكيك; born 14 May 1988 in Deir al-Qamar) is a Lebaneseactress who grew up in Ashrafieh, Lebanon. She began her career at an early age. She won the Murex d'or three times; her most famous wins were for Alhob Almamnou’ in 2010, Duo Al Gharam in 2012 And Samra in 2016.

Early life and career

El Kik was born in Deir al-Qamar, south-east of Beirut. Her first appearances were long sketches shot with Wassim Tabbarah, at the age of 15. Tabbarah encouraged her to be follow a career in art; the young Pamela wanted since to be a professional actress.

El Kik started her early formal career at the age of 18 while studying communication arts specialized in cinema at The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK). She participated in some local works: Erbit Tenhall (2005), Imraa Min Dayaa (2005), Madame Bambino (2006) and Sara (2009).

Personal life

In June 2023 during an interview on Al Jadeed, El Kik opened up about her sexuality saying "Because of the roles I was given I was accused of being a lesbian and that inside me there is boy and a girl". She continued that all of these are "big accusations" and that "no one has the right to interfere with my personal life". However during the interview she also hinted at the possibility of her bisexuality saying: "If I love a woman, I may be the first one to marry a woman, I have no objection, love and freedom in life only come out of us when we want a sentence of thought outside the box". After the backlash she received to in the wake of her statements of her sexuality, El Kik defended herself saying that "I love man, but if my body refuses to love the man after 20 years of relationship and a girl I love appeared, I will love her, I am not lesbian, I am everything."

El Kik est née dans la ville de Deir al-Qamar, au sud-est de Beyrouth, dans le centre-sud du Liban, de ses parents Hani et Taghreed et à une sœur, Amanda. À l'âge de 15 ans, ses premières apparitions consistent en de longs sketches tournés avec Wassim Tabbarah, qui l'encourage à devenir une star, alors qu'elle voulait être une actrice professionnelle.

El Kik commence sa carrière formelle à l'âge de 18 ans alors qu'elle étudiait les arts de la communication avec spécialisation en Cinéma à l'Université du Saint-Esprit de Kaslik (USEK). Elle participe à quelques émissions locales : Erbit Tenhall (2005), Imraa Min Dayaa (2005), Madame Bambino (2006) et Sara (2009).

En 2014, Pamela a dévoilé une certaine façon de penser à travers un livre, Pam est là - No'ta (نقطة), lancé lors de la Foire du livre arabe au -Biel- Beyrouth. Le livre est un carnet de citations manuscrites à caractère social, artistique et politique.
