Ng Sze Han

Malaysian politician and engineer

Ng Sze Han (simplified Chinese: 黄思汉; traditional Chinese: 黃思漢; pinyin: Huáng Sīhàn; born 6 October 1971) is a Malaysianpolitician and engineer. He has served as member of the Selangor State Executive Council (EXCO) for Investment, Trade, and Mobility in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) state administration under Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari since May 2023. He has also been the Selangor State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kinrara since May 2013. He is a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of PH and formerly Pakatan Rakyat (PR) coalitions, he has served as the Assistant National Treasurer of DAP since March 2022 and was promoted to State Chairman of DAP Selangor in November 2024, after serving as State Secretary from November 2021.

Early life and education

Ng Sze Han was born in Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia on 6 October 1971. He earned an Engineering degree from Trine University.

Ng Sze Han served as the Regional Manager for Asia Pacific at Augier S.A.S. from 2001 to 2008.

Political career

Early political career

From 2008 to 2013, he was a councilor at Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya (MPSJ), now known as Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya.

During his tenure at MBSJ, he was a member of several committees, including the One Stop Centre (OSC), Finance, Infrastructure & Facilities, and Internal Audit committees.

Since 2023, he has served as a state legislative councillor for Kinrara.

    Early life and education

    Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Teresa is a third generation Malaysian of Chinese descent. Kok is a member of the Hakka dialect group and her ancestors were from Huizhou, Guangdong Province, China. She commands Malay, English and Chinese Languages with fluency in Hakka and Cantonese dialects. Kok is a Catholic by religion.

    She graduated with a Bachelor of Communication from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 1990, and obtained a Master of Philosophy from University of Malaya. Her thesis was on United Malays National Organization (UMNO), titled "Factionalism in Umno During Dr Mahathir's Era (1981–2001)".

    Kok writes in weekly column for Chinese newspaper Sin Chew Daily. In 2004, she published a book compiling articles she wrote for the then Chinese daily.

    Wong Siew Ki (王诗棋; pinyin: Wáng shī qí; born 17 May 1986), is a Malaysianpolitician who has served as Member of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Seri Kembangan since August 2023. She served as the MLA for Balakong from September 2018 to August 2023. She is a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) and formerly Pakatan Rakyat (PR) coalitions.     Wong was born to Wong Fook Keong and Chin Kooi Seng as their second daughter on 17 May 1986. She grew up in Ipoh, the capital city of Perak, Malaysia.

    Wong received her primary, secondary and tertiary educations at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) Poi Lam Ipoh, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Poi Lam Ipoh, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Methodist (ACS) Ipoh and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). In 2009, she graduated from UPM with a Bachelor of Arts (Foreign Language) major in Chinese Literature. In 2020, she graduated with Master of Arts (Chinese Literature).

She was also the President of UPM Chinese Society during her university life in 2008. She was actively involved in student movements.
