When it came to the end of classic Defender production – after 32 years of the basic shape – Land Rover announced three special, celebratory editions.
Of these, only the Autobiography was described by the firm as ‘the most desirable Defender ever built.’ It was also highly exclusive – just 80 were reserved for the UK. Alongside a tweaked engine there was a sumptuously appointed interior and tastefully specified exterior.
This low mileage example is one of those exceptionally rare models. With just two owners from new and less than 30,000 miles on the clock, it is not far removed from showroom condition. If that isn’t enough to whet your appetite, how about full service history and 12 months advisory-free MOT?

2016 Defender 90 Autobiography Limited Edition
One of just one hundred examples worldwide, the Land Rover Defender Autobiography Edition is the rarest Defender 90 limited-edition released and was produced in 2015 to commemorate the end of Defender production after a continuous sixty-seven year production run. With in excess of two million Defenders built this, rarer than rare Autobiography is presented in Duo Tone Santorini Black over Red, has had just one owner from new and has an incredibly low recorded mileage of just 987. Having formed part of a Defender collection in recent years, this example is fresh to market and presents superbly throughout as one would expect, in its stunning livery and with its Autobiography specification, providing devotees with an increased level of comfort, more equipment and better performance than any other Defender before it. One of the most rare and collectable, end of production, examples that would be worthy of a place in any collection. Surely one to tuck away ?

The Land Rover Defender (initially introduced as the Land Rover One Ten, and in 1984 joined by the Land Rover Ninety, plus the new, extra-length Land Rover One Two Seven in 1985) is a series of British off-road cars and pickup trucks. They consistently have four-wheel drive, and were developed in the 1980s from the original Land Rover series which was launched at the Amsterdam Motor Show in April 1948. Following the 1989 introduction of the Land Rover Discovery, the term 'Land Rover' became the name of a broader marque, and no longer worked as the name of a specific model; thus in 1990 Land Rover renamed them as Defender 90 and Defender 110 and Defender 130 respectively.
The vehicle, a British equivalent of the Second World War derived (Willys) Jeep, gained a worldwide reputation for ruggedness and versatility. Using a steel ladder chassis and an aluminium alloy bodywork, the Land Rover originally used detuned versions of Rover engines.
