Luke Bryan to Bride Caroline After 16 Years: ‘Loved You Since the Second I Saw You’
Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, and Bryan's sweet message for his bride on the special day will warm your heart this holiday season.
"Happy 16th anniversary love. It is so amazing sharing this life with you," the country star writes on Instagram. "Thank you for putting up with all my craziness I throw your way."
"I’ve loved you since the second I saw you. It’s truly remarkable what we’ve done together," he adds sweetly. "I love you too the moon and back and here’s to 100 more. Love you."
Alongside the heartfelt message, Bryan shared a photo that captures the couple's sense of humor: The two of them are in one of their many hilarious get-ups, Bryan wearing a large mullet wig and Caroline with a colorful '80s visor. The picture comes from a post Caroline shared in August, in which she wrote, "They let us out of our cage for 3 days!"
Caroline also marked the occasion with a post of her own. On her Instagram account, she shared a slideshow of photos of the two of them throughout the years set to Barry White's "You're the First, the Last, My Everything."
"Sweet 16!!!! Happy anniversary Love Bug…16 years ago we had zero clue what we were stepping into," she writes. "The good, the bad, silly moments and stupid arguments. It’s been worth it all and I love you more every year!"
Luke and Caroline Bryan were married on Dec. 8, 2006. They have two sons, Bo and Tate, and also adopted their nephew, Til, and nieces, Jordan and Kris. The lovebirds met in college Georgia State University, and their love story took various twists and turns before they finally ended up with one another.

Michael Carter Co-Writes Hits For Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell and Thomas Rhett, And Plays Lead Guitar in Bryan’s Band
It takes many people to help elevate a singer to the level of major country star, and for Luke Bryan one of the key players is Michael Carter. A longtime friend, Carter is also Bryan’s lead guitarist, band leader, and the songwriter behind 12 of Bryan’s songs including the hit “Roller Coaster” and the current Top 5 single, “Move.” Carter penned “Roller Coaster” with Cole Swindell, and the two men also co-wrote several more hits, including Craig Campbell’s “Outta My Head,” Thomas Rhett’s “Get Me Some of That,” and Swindell’s “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight.” In addition, Carter produced Swindell’s debut album.
Bryan and Carter met 21 years ago and started playing frat parties in a band together in college, and the two never separated as they moved from small gigs to major stadiums.
“It sure beats pulling a U-Haul and a van; I can tell you that!” Carter gladly admits of his escalating success with Bryan. “Every year it just keeps getting better and more things keep happening. It’s really hard to describe. Every now and then you have to take a step back and think…this is unreal.”
We are pleased to present this new interview with Michael Carter, whom we talked to on the phone, while he was in the dressing room at Detroit Lions Stadium on the last date of Bryan’s headlining tour, Kill The Lights Tour. He talks with us about working for one of country music’s top stars, the story behind some of his top tunes, having the right mindset to make it as a songwriter, and the tune that Florida Georgia Line let slip away.
BC: Congratulations on your latest chart success, “Move,” for Luke Bryan. How did that song come together?
Michael Carter: The idea Luke had was the spelling out of [the theme] move. It kind of went from there and led into a story. We tried to figure out what kind of story you’re going to paint for somebody besides having a chorus abo American singer-songwriter Musical artist Michael Carter is an American guitarist, songwriter, and record producer, known for his work with Luke Bryan and Cole Swindell. Carter is Bryan's lead guitarist and bandleader. He and Swindell, a former merchandise vendor of Bryan's, co-wrote Craig Campbell's "Outta My Head", Thomas Rhett's "Get Me Some of That", Swindell's "Hope You Get Lonely Tonight", and Bryan's "Roller Coaster". Carter also produced Swindell's self-titled debut album. So how much of a country boy is Luke Bryan? He doesn’t have to think long or hard about that question. On this particular day, he recounts how he spent the morning at the bow shop jawing with a bunch of other hunters. His best kind of evenings, he says, are “rockin’ on the porch” with his wife and boys and doing some sunset watching. He mentions the bass-fishing lake on his property, where he regularly drops a line with the kids. Then for good measure, this son of a peanut farmer adds one more bona fide: “Just talking to my mom and dad once a day is about all the country affirmation I need.” No doubt Bryan has earned the right to call his latest album — out on Friday — Mind of a Country Boy, and of course he has a country boy’s heart and soul, too. The album, his eighth, is chock-full of all the countrified themes that hold sway over his life: good times, the outdoors, the love of a good woman and devotion to family. Luke Bryan Announces New Album Mind of a Country Boy and Says the Project 'Has a Little Bit of Everything' Yes, he assures, he’s still the guy who can easily turn an arena concert into a giant party with the flip of his ballcap. But as he closes out his fifth decade — he turned 48 in July — he’s also feeling increasingly drawn to what he calls “more mature-type subject matters,” and family is squarely at the center of that. This impulse can be heard in the nostalgia of “Pair of Boots” and “Fish on the Wall,” two standout tracks that highlight father-son moments. But Bryan turns even more serious in two other memorable songs: “Jesus ’Bout the Kids” and “For the Kids.” The father of two boys, Bo, 16, and Tate, 14, and the custodial uncle of 22-year-old Til Cheshire, his late sister’s son, Bryan says the lyrics of “Jesus” squarely hit home: “I used to talk to my kids about Jesus / Now I talk to Jesus ’bout my kids.” “Whe Michael Carter (musician)
